Adventurous Appetites Seville Tapas Tour

Following the success of our award winning Madrid tapas tour we are now delighted to show you a bit of Sevilla, introducing you to some of its sights, history, culture and above all great food and drink.

Sevilla has a unique tapas tradition that differs from other places in Spain and, furthermore, its laberinth of narrow streets and plethora of awnings, can be a bit intimidating  and make it difficult to differentiate between local quality and touristy taverns. What therefore could be better than  to discover the secrets of this stunning Andalusian city in the company of a charming local guide, who will reveal the do's and don'ts and regale you with fascinating anecdotes about the city, its traditions and rich history, all while giving you an invaluable insight into Sevilla's great tapas scene?

Guillermo Valero Rojas, originally from Cadiz, has lived in the USA and Malta as well as in Latin America and Africa through his work in International Co-operation. Proudly Andalusian, when not giving classes as a qualified diving instructor, he loves to share his experience and show off his now home-town of Sevilla. He will ensure that you see a really local side of the city and help you choose a great variety of what he considers the best local tapas.

Tour Description: We will visit four very typical Andalusian bars, to enjoy the local specialties. Traditionally, tapas are done standing up, though we often try to book a sit-down table for our last stop. All bars are approximately 15 minutes  (or less) walking distance from each other, though this will take longer as we regale you with fascinating local facts and anecdotes about the city and its culture, while walking you through the streets of Sevilla and giving you insider tips and ideas for the rest of your stay!

Our goal is to leave you with an authentic and memorable feel for the city and its people through what we believe is the best way possible - eating and drinking like a local! Our tapas expert will advise you on the specialities in each Spanish bar we visit, providing a translation and explanation of each dish

We aim to offer a personalized service; so, if you have any special requests or requirements, dietary or otherwise, please let us know, and we will be delighted to do our best to accommodate them. And, while we will always try to accommodate client likes and dislikes, we will also encourage you to push your boundaries to try new and amazing things.

At the end of the tour, we can either give you suggestions on where to continue your night with an after dinner drink (for example on a roof-top terrace bar with stunning views over the Giralda), or point you in the direction of your hotel, meeting point or transport.

**Weekend lunchtime tours for larger groups may be available on request.

Group Size: We try to limit groups to an average maximum of eight (8) people, but this can be bigger in periods of high demand. We do have a minimum group size of two (2) people but if you are a solo traveller, please do request a tour as we may well be able to fit you in a group.

Pricing: The tour cost is GBP50 (or EUR70 per person if paid in cash on the night of your tour for last minute bookings only.) The price includes the first 'aperitivo' in a traditional Sevillano bar; however, additional food or drink is not included so that you have more control over what you choose to eat and how much you pay at each Spanish bar we visit.

On average, we calculate that you'll spend a total of around EUR30 on food and drink for your entire night and will have eaten and drunk to your stomach and heart's content! Also, Spanish tapas are made for sharing! So, our tour groups often put their money together in a pot at the start of the night, as this tends to be the easiest and best value way of doing things. This is decided by individuals on the night of the tour.

For groups of eight (8) or more, we also offer an all-inclusive (no spirits) tour for for GBP85 (or EUR100 per person if paid in cash on the night of your tour for last minute bookings only.) .

Once we have confirmed the date and service that you would like to book, we will send you a payment request. For UK residents we would appreciate payment by electronic transfer directly into our UK bank account - details to be provided on choosing this payment option. Alternatively, you can pay by credit/debit card via our secure online payment system. Please see terms and conditions.

Tour tips: Sevilla does get incredibly hot so please do apply sunscreen liberally and a hat and a bottle of water are good things to bring. We strongly advise you avoid any high heels as there is a fair amount of walking to do over cobbles!!!
