Our Flamenco expert, Melody Nicholls, a professional Flamenco dancer and promoter of Flamenco events in and around Madrid for more than ten years, personally designs each event to meet each client's individual needs. Her vast knowledge and experience in the tradition of Flamenco is what makes this particular group event so spectacular.

 

This incredibly fun and informative workshop gives participants an interactive introduction to the art of Flamenco. You will discuss the origins of the art, practice some rhythms, learns some basic movements, use castanets, fans and mantones (large embroidered shawls), all before heading around the corner for a refreshing drink at a local bullfighting bar.

  

Duration: A one-hour class followed by drinks

 

Venue:The world famous Amor de Dios dance studios, which is in a central location, Calle Isabel 5, Madrid

 

Summary: The class can be conducted in English and/or Spanish. A Flamenco guitarrist, singer and teacher/dancer will provide a brief but very exciting and dramatic Flamenco performance!

 

Post class drinks: After the class, you would then be invited to a drink around the corner in a typical bullfighting bar (beer, wine, sangria, soft drinks: 1 drink per person)
